Handpainted Blanket Pattern Jewelry Box
$ 400
Handpainted wood jewelry box is based on a tapestry-quality Navajo rug by Jennie Thomas which combines an intricate Wide Ruins design with Burntwater colors.  The artist has slightly altered the pattern and coloration for the box.  All work was done by hand including staining, drawing the design using a simple pencil and ruler, painting and sealing the box.  Total actual work time was 55 hours.  The box measures 8 1/2" long x 5 1/4" wide x 3 7/8" tall.  The box includes a black velvet bracelet bar and a signed statement with a photo of the original blanket.  Signed by the artist.
