Kewa Pueblo formerly Santo Domingo Pueblo - Ava Marie "Cool-Ca-Ya"
Coriz was born in 1948 as a member of the Antelope Clan. She specialized in making hand strung / hand ground bead necklaces
in the tradition of her Santo Domingo ancestors. Ava Marie was taught the fundamentals of working with stone nuggets
at age 14 and learned the art of silver smithing in 1969. She is the daughter of Lupe Pena. Ava Marie passed away
in March of 2011 - she was a talented artisan and will be missed.

Turquoise Beaded Jacla Necklace #29059
$285 Kewa (Santo Domingo) - The 28" long, three strand turquoise jacla necklace has a mixture of blue and
green turquoise beads separated by dark brown shell heishi. The jacla centerpiece measures approximately 4" long
and each strand measures approximately 1/4" wide. The necklace is finished with brown shell and turquoise heishi, a sterling
silver secure lobster clasp, and a 2 1/2" long sterling silver extension chain.
