Zuni (Virgil) and Hopi (Shirley) - Virgil and Shirley Benn, husband and
wife, collaborate to create materpieces in mosaic and channel inlay jewelry using coral, turquoise and a variety of other
stones/shells. Virgil, born in the 1930's, has been an active silversmith since the 1950's. Shirley, born
in 1936, has been an active silversmith since the 1970's-80's. Before becoming a silversmith, Shirley was a
pottery artist from the 1950's-80's.

Inlay Chief's Head Bolo Tie #CI_2100
$2,100 The sterling silver Indian chief's head bolo tie center piece is incredibly detailed and intricately
inlaid with jet, mother of pearl shell, malachite, spiny oyster shell, bright blue turquoise, and abalone shell. The
braided black leather cord measures approximately 3/8" in diameter and the back is flattened to comfortably fit under
a collar. The smooth sterling silver bolo tips have cone ends. The centerpiece measures approximately 2 1/2"
wide x 3 1/4" long. Signed by the artist.
